If you feel like you were force fed with the health care reform bill, you're not the only one. Over 50% of U.S. citizens were not in favor of this bill, but the President, and the far left members of our legislative branch don't care what we think. They just want us to be quiet and get with the program. They think they are like parents of little children; they know better, what is good for us, and what isn't.

So on the heels of this forced legislation, many people are asking why President Obama is planning to drill for oil. It seems off task to the liberal agenda, doesn't it. Well it is, but let me tell you why he is doing it.

First, he is always in campaign mode, so he wants to bring his popularity back up. It's like he is saying; here you guys, I know that health care thing hurt a little bit, but here is a little bone for you to chew on so you feel better.

Second, he is softening the blow for the next liberal cram session, which is mandating fuel emissions for ALL U.S. automobiles. Just watch, he will say; I know you don't want this emissions thing, but look what I did for you, I let you drill for oil.

Make no mistake, Obama is politically savvy. Everything he does has purpose, and it does not have anything to do with government for the people and by the people. It's more about his next election and furthering his socialist leaning liberal agenda.

Attorney General Eric Holder is a troubling figure on the American political landscape. It is safe to say that Mr. Holder leans to the left. Among other things he wants to limit public access to guns, and he worked for the NAACP. But what is most troubling is his posture on terrorism.

First he was instrumental in the sentence reduction of 16 terrorists from the Puerto Rican terrorist organization, Boricua Popular Army. This terrorist group has been fighting against the U.S. since the early seventies. They have killed our military personnel, and they robbed a Wells Fargo Bank annex of over 7 million dollars.

Second, Mr. Holder decided to hand key terrorists held at Guantanamo Bay over to the civilian court system, which enables them to have the same rights as a car thief or a convenience store robber. This decision will undoubtedly help the terrorists make a mockery of our judicial system and cost tax payers hundreds of millions of dollars.

Third, his direction ripped the underwear bomber out of the hands of FBI interrogators, where he was read his miranda rights, and subsequently he stopped talking. Precious information could have been obtained from this novice terrorist, but instead Eric Holder Made sure he was protected like a U.S. citizen. We will never know what future plot we might have been able to thwart through the interrogation efforts of the FBI. In the end it might mean many American lives.

Eric Holder is obviously a product of the liberal education system. He is a detached ideologue. and he can't connect the dots between common sense and the values he possesses. Unfortunately, there are others in power, like Mr. Holder, who are undermining our beloved American way of life.

How can the office of Attorney General be handed to someone so un-American, unless his boss is the same?

Whatever he says tonight, remember he is desperate. Things aren't going his way. He's worried about his popularity. He needs to say whatever he can to turn the momentum around.

When he talks about freezing discretionary spending, it's a trick. It sounds like he's doing the right thing. Hey, he's not going to spend anymore money - cool. Nope! It's a trick! He'll act like he's giving you what you want, but in reality that "freeze" means we can't go back on any of the huge spending plans he made in 2009.

First Scott Brown takes over Kennedy's seat in the senate, and now Air America, the ultra liberal radio show goes bankrupt. This has been a good week, and hopefully the indication of a good year, culminating in the senate elections in November. The GOP is on a comeback, and if there are more Scott Brown's out there. We are going to be alright.

Contrast the reception and extended hand across the isle we saw in Scott Brown, with the angry, polarizing, confrontational attitude of the illegitimate Senator from Minnesota, Al Franken. It's no wonder why the people see the GOP as a better party to lead this country.

Al Franken helped to bankrupt Air America, now let's see what he does in the Senate.

The left doesn't care what Americans think, or want. Their attitude is what they believe is right, even if they are in the minority. They have contempt for the average American. Their political agenda trumps all. That is how they can ignore the fact that a life is being killed during an abortion.

Eric Holder is a perfect example of the lack of empathy and reason that comes from the Liberals in Washington. In a Senate Judiciary Committee hearing, he stood before the American People and the family members of the victims of 9/11, and stated that justice will be served. They didn't seem to care that a woman in attendance had a letter signed by 100,000 people opposing this decision.

Apparently, by the time this information was presented, most of the Democrat Senators had left the meeting.

“Now, people when I say that look at me and say, ‘What are you talking about, Joe? You’re telling me we have to go spend money to keep from going bankrupt?’” Biden said. “The answer is yes, that's what I’m telling you.”

I think it is time we man up and celebrate our macho tendencies. Let's re-discover our masculinity, and celebrate it. Let's squash the metro sexual image that feminist and gay activists love to push on us. Let's go fishing and camping. Let's opt for the barber shop instead of the hair salon. Let's go watch an action flick, by ourselves, because we're man enough to do something without anyone else.

OK, I know nobody reads my blog, but I'm going to write this anyway.

Everyone write a letter. Write a letter to your Congressman, Governor, Mayor, Supervisor, The President, Vice-President, any government official you want. We can't accept what is happenning to our country. We need to stand up and be heard. The government is taking over our lives, in every single aspect. They are telling us how much energy we can consume, they are going to tell us how and when we can have medical care. They are taking over our largest private sector companies. They want to take away our guns, and they want to minimize our ability to worship. They want to take away our hard earned money and give it to people who didn't work for it. Our current administration is way far left wing, and they are intent on destroying our traditional way of life. They want to be similar to a european socialist government.

We can't just sit back and watch this happen. We are not far from eliminating the abiity to call this great nation FREE.

Very Impressive. I new old Johnny leaned to the right, (which really makes his daughter Angelia Jolie happy). But I had no idea how far right he really was. John Voight is my new hero. He had the intestinal fortitude to stand up and give his true opinion about Obama. And for that. He'll probably never work in Hollywood again, but that will be good for him. Maybe he'll take up politics.

Facts disprove warnings about global warming

A long time ago kings and rulers might be advised by magicians, astrologers, and other charlatans. These mystics would prey on leaders--and through them, on entire societies--by using the false superstitious beliefs of all involved. These people mostly went away with the advent of science.
But they're back--this time using the name of science. A vocal minority of the scientific community, with the help of unqualified outsiders, has persuaded many politicians to pursue plans that would be economically devastating. The story this time is global warming.
The "global warmers" produced the Kyoto treaty of 1997. However, the facts completely disprove what these people are saying about climate change.
We've all heard the stories, reported as indisputable fact: The last century or decade is just about the hottest the world has ever been. Carbon dioxide from burning gasoline and coal is blamed. Unless their solution is enacted right now, temperatures will rise terribly in the next century. Icecaps will start to melt, coasts will flood, storms will get worse, diseases will spread, animals will die, and more. And it's all because of us Americans.
The best lies contain a measure of truth. Yes, carbon dioxide in the air has increased in the last century due to the use of fossil fuels. Yes, global average temperature has increased 0.8 degrees F in the same century. Unfortunately, the temperature increase came first: most of the temperature increase was before 1940, and most of the new carbon dioxide was added after 1960. Would you trust a "scientist" who said the result came before the cause?
There are other problems, as well. Solar activity may be the cause of the world temperature changes. The global warmers can't explain why satellites show no temperature change in the past 20 years. The computer models that predict disaster in a century have been completely wrong for the past 20 years. And no one can agree on the side effects.
Scientific facts actually helped unravel the treaty last year. Carbon dioxide is removed from the air by various natural and manmade processes, and world leaders couldn't agree on how to credit for this. No one wanted the U.S. to get credit for removals of carbon dioxide, so negotiations faltered.
Most scientists use facts and logic to reach conclusions. It's no surprise that over 17,000 scientists and engineers have signed a petition calling for rejection of the Kyoto treaty. This overshadows any collection of scientists that have endorsed the treaty.
The global warmers have failed to prove that man has caused a problem. This hasn't stopped them from demanding we act, and act now.
The Kyoto Protocol called for the U.S. and other western nations to shoulder most of the limits on fossil fuel energy use. Developing countries suffer little or no restrictions.
Those countries are obviously enthusiastic. The economic powerhouses would have their hands tied, while would-be competitors like mainland China would not.
President Bush has sided with the scientific facts in recently declining to implement the Kyoto limits. After all, the treaty is so bad the Senate opposed it 95 to zero.
Bush and Congress must go further. They should refuse any regulation of carbon dioxide emissions whatsoever.
Consider the impact of the restrictions still promoted by some. The U.S. would have to put a 50 to 100 % tax on gasoline, heating fuels, and most electricity. Local farmers and landowners will face bureaucratic restrictions hindering the use of land. In south Texas, the result would just be massive inflation and unemployment. In the developing world, suffering economies would cause starvation and death. And for all this, the restrictions can't be shown to make any difference to world climate.
The primary advocates of global warming remain the environmentalists. They propose a drastic solution to a non-existent problem--a solution which is, amazingly, the same political policy they have unsuccessfully sought to impose for decades. Many of their leaders oppose free markets and seek to limit human development, and global warming is currently the best means to these ends. If people are hurt in the process, so be it.
The current power supply problems in California are a perfect example. They are not a consequence of true deregulation, but of environmental and anti-free market restrictions on power production. This is the same thing proposed in Kyoto, and the same thing still promoted by some Washington leaders.
As you watch your gas and electricity bills go up, recognize this as only a taste of what could have been under Kyoto--and what could still be, if environmental politics and big government win out over free markets and scientific facts.

Big surprise! Steve Croft's interview of Obama, on 60 Minutes was another game of softball with the President and the liberal media. It's like Croft was saying, "here let me lob this one to you, so you can hit it out of the park." Give me a break.

They set the whole thing up by stating that Obama has, "the most difficult job on the world." In other words they were saying, let's be understanding of the mistakes, because his job is so hard. Do you think Bush would have received the same treatment?

On Guantanamo Bay, Croft just let him rail about Cheney, and didn't once follow up with an opposing question. He totally let him side step the FACT that interrogating Guantanamo detainees saved hundreds, if not thousands of American lives, due to thwarted terrorist plots. I don't know how Obama can completely ignore that single, extremely important fact, and get away with it.

We need less stimulus. By now you have probably already heard this argument, but repetition is the key to making people believe something is true. And in this case, this is true.

We need the government to get their stinking hands out of our pockets, and out of our children's future pockets, and the the free market system work. Yes it does work.

Today President Obama signed the stimulus bill, and the markets plummeted. Not a good sign of stimulus, or confidence from the stock market. Unfortunately, this market reaction is probably a sign of how effect this piece of legislation is going to be.

Nothing would go further in restoring our economy than the government letting us keep more of our money, so we can pay mortgages, and spend some of what we earned for ourselves.

Darwin, racist?

Ok, we all know how much the lefties love Charles Darwin. Today is Darwin day, in celebration of his birthday, which he happens to share with Abraham Lincoln, and liberals all over the world are celebrating. Of course Darwin is not only loved by the left, many people celebrate his contributions to science. But the libs, and the atheists in particular, base much of their belief system on Darwin's theories on evolution.

Well, I have a little surprise for ya. Many people don't know that part of Darwin's published works, describe a need to "preserve the races." Also, in his book, "The Decent of Man," Darwin states that Blacks are farthest behind in the evolutionary chain, among humans. He also states that they are inferior to the white race and closer to apes than any other human race.

Isn't it interesting that you never hear these little tid bits, when the lefties are smirking at religious people, and pointing to the "evolution of man" as a dis-creditor of the story of Adam and Eve.

How do those on the left rationalize their total belief in Darwin's theories, when it is tainted with this documented evidence of racism? It seems to me that you have to believe it all, or none of it. They can't selectively believe portions of his theories, and ignore the ones that don't fit their agenda. I don't think anyone today would agree that blacks are inferior. So doesn't that mean that his theory is flawed? I guess you could say that he was right part of the time, but if you walk down his flow of logic, the bad part that people don't want to talk about, is logical.

Personally, I have problems with the theory of evolution, mainly because there is a missing link, but also, now, because I don't believe the racist remarks that Darwin stated.

I got some interesting information while listening to the Dennis Prager radio show today. For those who think the terrorists in Gitmo are being treated badly, think again. Here is one example of the treatment they receive: When they are given the Koran to read, per their insistance, military personnel are not worthy of touching the book. It has to be given to them by a "worthy" muslim, who they appoint, and even they have to handle the book with cloth gloves. Hmmmm, does that sound like torture to you? There is a long list of privileges they receive, which are comforts that I don't have, begginning with top quality health care.

So you think closing Gitmo is a good Idea? You think it is the right thing to do? Take a look at this website first, and then make your own decision. It is always better to make an informed decision, rather than a popular decision. If you are getting all your information from the news media, then you decision is most likely a popular one.

I said it before, and I'll say it again. Government bailouts are not a good idea.'

Back in October, 2008, I wrote an entry that stated how wrong it was for the Federal Government to bailout the banks. I said it then, and I'll say it again. Bad Idea!

So let's review. We gave a mountain of cash to major banks and lending institutions, and the auto industry. That was four months ago. Anybody see any improvement? That's right, neither did I. Not only was there no improvement, but some of the companies decided to go party with some of that money at lavish resorts. UNBELIEVABLE!

Told you so. Government intervention in the free market economy always spells disaster. We should have learned that lesson from FDR, and other nations that have tried it over the past ten years. This latest umpteen gillion dollars that is supposed to be a shot in the arm to the economy is going to be like one of those flu shots you get, and the virus isn't quite dead yet. Yup, that's right, you still get sick. This is only going to make the situation worse, and prolong the downward trend in the markets and the economy.

I have said before that I want President Obama to succeed, and I still do. If he succeeds, we all succeed. But, I'm going to make a big prediction here. I'm so sure that government involvement in trying to fix the economy is not going to work, I predict that Obama is going to be a one term president. I know everybody loves him. But that admiration bubble will burst, or at least leak, and by his mid term, most people will be looking for a new president.

I hope I'm wrong.

I have grown very tired of partisan politics. Even in the financial crisis we find ourselves in, our politicians cant seem to shed the party first attitude that has invaded our legislative branch of government.

I discovered, however, this is not a new phenomenon. Take a look at this quote from George Washington, in his farewell address.

"The party spirit, he lamented:
serves always to distract the Public Councils, and enfeeble the Public Administration. It agitates the Community with ill-founded jealousies and false alarms; kindles the animosity of one part against another, foments occasionally riot and insurrection. It opens the door to foreign influence and corruption, which find a facilitated access to the government itself through the channels of party passions. Thus the policy and the will of one country are subjected to the policy and will of another."

It seems that we are stuck with the childish party politics that are inherent in the system, but I don't have to like it. It reminds me of the Beatles song that John Lennon penned, "I, me, my." I believe we will see vast improvement in what we can accomplish as a nation if/when we get beyond selfish, self serving politicians, who are supposed to be representing us.

My recommendation is to vote for the representative, not the politician, if you ever get the opportunity.

Can someone please tell me who left the government in charge? I've been on this earth since 1960, and I don't like the direction we (mankind) are going in.

Last night I was doing my nightly unwind, in front of the television, and realized something very profound. I was watching Apollo 13 with the wifeypoo, and in the movie, when things were going really bad for the flight crew, the news was reporting that people all over the world, including the Vatican, and other religious landmarks, were praying for them. Don't see that too much these days.

Back to the government. Their encroachment in our lives has gone too far. Beside the fact that Federal Income Tax is unconstitutional, now they want to monitor the thermostats in our homes with an FM receiver, and change the settings if they don't like how we have it set. Does this bother anyone else? Please, please, people, we need to take back our liberties, before we become a completely communist state. Don't let this happen. Write to your federal representatives and congresspersons, and let them know what you think.

Inauguration Day Blues

I hate to be the wet blanket, but I have to say that Obama's inaugural address was less than inspiring. It was even a little depressing. I get the fact that he was trying to set low expectations, so he won't be ridiculed when things don't all-of-a-sudden become wonderful, now that he is President. And believe me, a lot of people expect that.

What I expected was something positive. Something to look forward to. Something new and different. Something that a LEADER would say.

President Obama had the opportunity to present an historic speach, and instead he very much delivered more of the same political rhetoric that we know all to well. All he had to do is use himself as an example of what can be accomplished in this great nation, but instead he focused on all the problems we have set before us, and how much work it is going to take to fix it.

GLENN: All right. You know the rest of this. What does this song actually tell us? What is this song really all about? Can you see by the dawn's early light, what so proudly we hailed at the twilight's last gleaming. That the banner lasted through the night. So I think what this is supposed to tell us here is that even in the heat of battle, even if the worst -- when you go to bed at night and you think this is not going to stand, the battle goes on. And when the dawn comes again, that banner is yet waving. But here's the key phrase: The land of the free... and the home of the brave.

I ask you if those two statements are true anymore. Are we the land of the free and the home of the brave. Our freedom is slipping by because I believe that we are not the home of the brave anymore, at least too many people are not brave anymore. You may be, I may be. I know our military -- let me ask you this: Name the government institutions that you currently believe in. I'm going to -- just to list a few. Do you still believe in the court system? Do you still believe in congress? Do you still believe in the department of environmental protection? Do you believe in the education system? Do you believe in the treasury making sure that our dollar is sound? Now let me ask you two other questions: Do you believe in our Secret Service? Do you believe in our military? The answer to those last two questions, if you are like me, you answered no to every single one of those questions, and I left out do you believe in the President -- not the office of the President. Do you believe in the Presidents that we've had in the last few. To me honor is retreating. The only place that honor really takes a stand at least for me is, I believe in the Secret Service. I believe those guys are honorable guys. I have seen them. I have seen them and I've spoken to them as they are protecting dirtbags, as they are ready to lose their life for Ahmadinejad. Boy, oh, boy, that's honor. And they do it because, not on our soil. I believe these guys are honorable people. Anybody who doesn't think our military is honorable hasn't met our military. Not to say that there are not some dirtbags in the military, but for the most part it's the one institution that I still believe in, and the reason why I believe in it is because it hasn't become about politics. The reason why I still believe in it is because it's the one institution that is closest to you and me.

The land of the free. You know and I know that we are having all kinds of issues now where things are just too big to fail. We have been a country always of the underdog. We've never went and looked to bail out a king, we've never looked to bail out the big guy. We were always there for the little guy. But the little guy isn't even being listened to anymore. And because of our economy, our economic security, because of our border security, because of our visa security, we're becoming less and less free. Because there's a lack of common sense.

Now, the home of the brave, are we the home of the brave? You bet. Our military will go into any place. Our military will do things that man would make me crap my pants, quite honestly. I'm a friend of Marcus Luttrell, the surviving member of Seal Team 10, The Lone Survivor. What these guys do is beyond my imagination, beyond my worst nightmares. So I do believe that bravery is here. But is personal bravery, are we willing to do the hard things now? Are we willing to sacrifice ourselves for the future of our children? I think the answer to that is yes, but nobody's asking you to do it. Are you willing to say, "You know what? Okay, I'll eat macaroni and cheese so my children can remain free. I think we should have a new National Anthem. I love the National Anthem that we have, but I think there should be a temporary new National Anthem, and I think there's two contenders and I'd like to share them with ya. And I know this is a little odd for a National Anthem, but the first one was done by Frank Sinatra. There are other versions. You know, we can pick, you know, the version that we like, but listen to the words. You just listened to the Star-Spangled Banner. What does it tell you? It gave you hope that there is a brighter day tomorrow, and that's an important message. But there will only be a brighter day tomorrow if we understand how to get there. And that's why maybe this should be the new National Anthem.

Bigger Is Not Better

A government that is big enough to take care of everyone is also big enough to take everything away.

Don't believe the hype. Our government, especially the liberal side of our government is not looking out for you. They are not trying to help out the little guy. They are not "for the people." What they are interested in is more power. That means they need to grow to a point at which we just hand our paycheck over to them and let them take care of us.

These recent bailouts are not the right path to go down. This will give government more power over private industry. They want to dictate what types of cars the auto industry should make. They want to dictate the terms and types of loans people should have on their homes, and they want to try and take care of our health needs as well.

Wake up people. All this will come at a huge cost. The cost will be our income and our freedom.

Don't believe the hype. Stand on your own two feet. For better, or worse. I'd rather be dirt poor, than have the government "take care of me." If you think they would take good care of you, just visit your local Social Security Administration office, or the DMV.

Commentary.

My confession:

I am a Jew, and every single one of my ancestors was Jewish. And it does not bother me even a little bit when people call those beautiful lit up, bejeweled trees, Christmas trees. I don't feel threatened. I don't feel discriminated against. That's what they are: Christmas trees.

It doesn't bother me a bit when people say, 'Merry Christmas' to me. I don't think they are slighting me or getting ready to put me in a ghetto. In fact, I kind of like it, it shows that we are all brothers and sisters celebrating this happy time of year. It doesn't bother me at all that there is a manger scene on display at a key intersection near my beach house in Malibu .. If people want a cross, it's just as fine with me as is the Menorah a few hundred yards away.

I don't like getting pushed around for being a Jew, and I don't think Christians like getting pushed around for being Christians. I think people who believe in God are sick and tired of getting pushed around, period. I have no idea where the concept came from that America is an explicitly atheist country. I can't find it in the Constitution and I don't like it being shoved down my throat.

Or maybe I can put it another way: where did the idea come from that we should worship celebrities and we aren't allowed to worship God as we understand Him? I guess that's a sign that I'm getting old, too.. But there are a lot of us who are wondering where these celebrities came from and where the America we knew went to.

In light of the many jokes we send to one another for a laugh, this is a little different: This is not intended to be a joke; it's not funny, it's intended to get you thinking.

Billy Graham's daughter was interviewed on the Early Show and Jane Clayson asked her 'How could God let something like this happen?' (regarding Katrina) Anne Graham gave an extremely profound and insightful response. She said, 'I believe God is deeply saddened by this, just as we are, but for years we've been telling God to get out of our schools, to get out of our government and to get out of our lives. And being the gentleman He is, I believe He has calmly backed out. How can we expect God to give us His blessing and His protection if we demand He leave us alone?'

In light of recent events. .. terrorists attack, school shootings, etc. I think it started when Madeleine Murray O'Hare (she was murdered, her body found a few years ago) complained she didn't want prayer in our schools, and we said OK.

Then someone said you better not read the Bible in school. The Bible says thou shalt not kill, thou shalt not steal, and love your neighbor as yourself. And we said OK.

Then Dr.. Benjamin Spock said we shouldn't spank our children when they misbehave because their little personalities would be warped and we might damage their self-esteem (Dr Spock's son committed suicide). We said an expert should know what he's talking about. And we said OK.Now we're asking ourselves why our children have no conscience, why they
don't know right from wrong, and why it doesn't bother them to kill strangers, their classmates, and themselves.

Probably, if we think about it long and hard enough, we can figure it out. I think it has a great deal to do with 'WE REAP WHAT WE SOW.'

Funny how simple it is for people to trash God and then wonder why the world's going to hell Funny how we believe what the newspapers say, but question what the Bible says. Funny how you can send 'jokes' through e-mail and they spread like wildfire but when you start sending messages regarding the Lord, people think twice about sharing. Funny how lewd, crude, vulgar and obscene articles pass freely through cyberspace, but public discussion of God is suppressed in the school and workplace.

Are you laughing yet?

Funny how when you forward this message, you will not send it to many on your address list because you're not sure what they believe, or what they will think of you for sending it.

Funny how we can be more worried about what other people think of us than what God thinks of us.

I took a trip this last week to the dark side. A place where all things are liberal. The San Francisco Bay area. I started out in Santa Cruz. The epicenter of the 60's Hippie movement. Yes, I saw my share of tie-dye T's, funny, fuzzy knit caps, unkempt hair and clothes, and eco-friendly statement cars (hey, what do they do with those batteries when their done with that car anyway). But after my tour of world liberal headquarters (San Francisco), the place where the Satan lives, (Gavin Newsom), (I don't even know how to spell his name). I was amazed to find that the whole place was not plastered with Obama murals and bumper stickers. Sure there were a few here and there, but it was nothing like I expected.

The only way I could rationalize this finding is I guess the fact that everyone up there is liberal, so they don't need to be so outspoken. Man! My town, Camarillo, was a real battle ground, complete with blow horns and brave people waving their IQ with their middle finger, from their car, at anyone that opposed their liberal agenda. Now there's tolerance for you.

One thing Al Gore can take credit for, is promoting the biggest scam in history. A whole industry has derived from this scam, so it is not likely to go away easily. I'm obviously talking about global warming.

Is it good to conserve our energy resources? Of course it is. Is it a good idea to pollute less? obviously, the answer is yes. But, the left, headed by Al (I invented the Internet) Gore, has created "the sky is falling" type panic over these issues to promote himself, and create an industry supported by this false claim. This scam gets "scientific cred" because "scientists" paychecks depend on the perpetuation of the scam, so they come up with supposed data, and facts that support it. As with any scam, when you put the claims under a magnifying glass, the whole thing falls apart.

Remember the Y2K scare. Again, this was a scare tactic exploited by "computer consultants," who ultimately bilked billions of dollars from corporate America. It turned out to be a non-issue. The global warming scare is the same thing, times a million.

If you are sold on the Global Warming crisis, consider these two facts:

1. A close look at real climate data, shows that temperature readings around the globe have been falling. This is a trend that has been happening for a few years. Also, we have seen record snowfall in several areas of the globe.

2. One major volcano eruption creates more greenhouse gases than the entire existence of mankind has been able to produce.

Despicable Behavior

I can only describe the recent Prop 8 protests as despicable. How dare they march and protest in front of the Mormon churches and temples. Fact; the Mormon Church did not donate money to Yes on Prop 8. Fact; it's members did donate their own money. Fact; The Mormon population voting for Prop 8 amounts to 2% of the total yes votes.

So why are the gays targeting the Mormons? Because we are an easy target. We are passive, and it is OK in today's society to bash white Christians. Why aren't the gays protesting at black and Hispanic church's? They represent a huge portion of the yes vote. They don't because it is politically incorrect. They are chicken. They are acting like a bunch of spoiled children that didn't get their way. They are used to forwarding their agenda without much opposition, but this time conservatives have drawn the line. Don't mess with Marriage.

No matter how much we say this, it doesn't seem to sink in. We don't hate gays. This proposition does not take away any of their rights. This is not a gay, or civil rights issue. It is actually a freedom of religion issue. If Prop 8 did not pass, the ramifications of this proposition would greatly inhibit, and torment religious institutions, and their members.

OK, lets get started. One lesson we can learn from this election is that the Republican party needs to re-invent itself. That doesn't mean we need to change our moral values, or the main platform. What I mean is, we need to get a new image. As you can tell from what happened last night, and throughout this election process, unfortunately, image, is more important than the issues, when it comes to getting elected. I think one of McCain's biggest liabilities was his age, and his image of being old school; an image he couldn't shake. The leaders of the republican party need to be younger, more vibrant, and closer to the generation growing up in the digital era.

The reason Sarah Palin is hated so much by the Democrats, and the left wing media, is because she is a major threat. That's why she is such a big target. She's not some old guy, who is part of the political establishment.

Barack Obama won, more because of his looks, and his presentation skills, than anything else.

Liberal Elitism

Democrats are supposed to be the party for the "working class," right? They are the party of the masses. They are the party for the average "Joe."

I think someone needs to remind them of that because they are really working over Joe the Plumber.

How about that. Joe asks Obama a simple question, and he gets totally slammed by the press, not to mention rummaging through his trash. He gets investigations into his background, by democrat leaders of his state. Does this scare anyone else, but me? Is this what we have to look forward to in a Obama presidency?

I think it is safe to say that the Democrat Party is not about sticking up for the little guy. They are for taking care of themselves, and growing the government big enough to "take care" of everybody. The fact is, they are elitists. They have total disdain for anyone who does not subscribe to their far left, socialist views, which, by the way, most of middle America does not subscribe to. They want their votes, so they pretend to be all "down homie," but they aren't. If you didn't go to an Ivy League school, and get a law degree, you are a moron, who can't understand the complicated social/political environment.

If you don't believe me, here is a quote from Bill Maher, a far left leaning liberal, and somewhat of a spokesman for the cause:

"I think it's great that McCain has chosen this guy to be the exemplar of middle America, because, to me, "Joe the Plumber" proves exactly what I've been saying -- and many people have been saying for so long about the Republican Party in the modern era -- they take advantage. Excuse me? Who is really praying on Joe the Plumber?
I'm pretty sure Barack Obama feels the same way, he just hasn't said it quite as plainly as Bill Maher.

I think there is a fair portion of Barack supporters that are kind of on the band wagon. If they really stopped and thought about the things he says, and the things he plans to do, they would change their minds. Unfortunately, most people are followers, and they will go the way the wind blows them. Right now, the wind is very strong, and its a liberal one.

By the way, I still think McCain has a chance.

Crossroads

In case you've been living under a rock, or in cave, or you've been a contestant on "Survivor," you need to know we (the country) is at a major crossroads. We are on the brink of a very important presidential election, and we are also going to vote on a proposition that is extremely precious to those of us in modern civilization that think marriage between a man and a woman is fundamental to a healthy moral society.

Proposition 8, is up there on the top of the list, in terms of importance. To me, it is more important than the price of gas, more important than our relations with foreign countries, even more important than the current economic crisis we are dealing with. I didn't list the person who becomes President of the United States, because I think that is almost equally as important, but for different reasons.

If proposition 8 does not pass, I believe we will be starting a trend of eroding moral values that will have a "snow ball" effect, and will be hard if not impossible to reverse.

What happens after that? If a person is attracted to youth, will they be allowed to marry? There is already an association that advocates relationships between men and boys, and they have been protected in the past by the ACLU. What if a person is attracted to animals? The list goes on. You know what I'm getting at. We have to hold the line on marriage, or it is curtains for a moral society as we know it.

This is not to mention all the other ramifications related to freedom of religion, personal worship and what is going to be taught in our schools, etc.

It's not politically correct to say it, but the gay lifestyle is a sexual perversion, and it always will be, whether it is excepted, or not. Don't think from that statement that I hate Gay's, I don't. I just don't agree with their lifestyle, and no one can make me think that it is OK to be that way. I'm a live and let live kind of person, but when someone tries to shove acceptance down my throat, it gets my hackles up. We are all being made to think there is something wrong with us, and we should feel guilty if we don't accept the gay lifestyle.

By the way, I'm pretty sure Prop 8 is going to pass.

I am truly astonished by the ignorance Obama supporters have displayed in their quest to get someone - ANYONE - into the White House.

Now, wait a minute. I can well understand your dislike or even hatred of our clown, GWB, but he is not the root cause of all of our problems. Our Congress is. And a change there would be welcomed by all. You ain't gonna get it done with Obama. You gotta fire the whole damnable crooked Congress.(Read my book, "BERNIE'S WAR!").

Perhaps I'm looking at all of this from a different perspective than you because my life experiences have been so different from yours. I'm 80-years old and have traveled the world where I've seen a great deal. I spent five years on active duty as a fighter pilot in the USAF and another seven years flying with the Air National Guard in California and Texas as well as a few years flying in the USAF Reserve. I spent three years on active duty in Germany flying Czech border patrol with "cold guns" in aircraft inferior to the MIG during the Korean "Police Action" when it was thought that Korea was a diversion for a Soviet invasion of Western Europe.

I lived abroad for a total of 28 years. Three years in Germany, twenty years in Switzerland and five years in Great Britain where I was based doing "spook" work for the U.S. behind the Iron Curtain before it fell. During that era of the Cold War I ventured to Moscow, Prague, Warsaw, Bucharest, Peshawar, Pakistan and Bulgaria posing as a Swiss French-speaking arms dealer purchasing weapons we surreptitiously supplied to the Afghani Mujahedeen in their successful fight against the Soviets - all of which came back to haunt us.

I've been there and done that and have had close associations with top government people in Germany, the Netherlands and Great Britain. I've had more foreign affair experience than Obama could ever dream of and, yet, wouldn't have the temerity to deign myself "Presidential" material; although I feel eminently more qualified to judge who would NOT be best for our country. My long-time world experience should count for something in my plea to you to abandon this miscreant flake. You will only be doing yourself and our country an enormous disservice if you persist in your support of this flash-in-the-pan opportunist. On this, you MUST trust me.

I've associated closely with European royalty and African politicians. I've traveled to the Far East to observe their cultures. My point is that Obama, although formally well educated and a brilliant orator, is a neophyte when it comes to understanding the world and is uniquely unqualified for the job as President of these great United States. His knowledge of economics is nil and his tax proposals absurd and life-threatening to the U.S. not only in economic terms but in preserving our national security as well. I don't want a "citizen of the world" to be President, I want a citizen of the good old USA to be President. Screw the rest of the world as they have well and truly screwed us. The time has come for us to awaken and start looking after ourselves. Now THAT would be CHANGE if that's what you're looking for.

While McCain has abstained from playing "the race-card", Obama is playing it to the hilt even though he's technically not an African-American. To qualify for this distinction you must be at least one-sixth black. Obama is only one-eighth. His father would be, as he was one-sixth. No, Obama is more Muslim than black yet he trades on his blackness.

The larger question I have about him is that we really don't know much about him other than what HE tells us, what we read on blogs and from some serious non-partisan investigators whose factual reports are, unfortunately, generally ignored and which receive precious little media exposure.

I, as a registered Independent, a military veteran and a patriot, beseech you to put aside party considerations and vote for the lesser of the two evils. Yes, I am NOT a McCain supporter, but he is, at least, not a flake, doesn't carry Muslim baggage and is a PROVEN hero and patriot WITH experience. It's not a party issue. It's all about electing the best we can trust with what we've got to work with. Mr. Obama is NOT that guy.

Frustration Mounts

The closer we get to election day, the more I realize the lack of maturity, composure, and civility on the part of the people who lean left.

Two Examples:

First, I was making volunteer phone calls on behalf of Prop 8. I was calling to see if I could help people make an informed decision (in other words I was telling them to vote yes). The astonishing thing to me was the lack of interest in hearing the truth, on the part of the people who are against this proposition. It's like they didn't even care about the truth, or facts that conflicted with their opinion. I presented one gentlemen, in particular, with a given fact. He would not believe it. I told him it was a proven fact, and he categorically dismissed me because I am a Republican.

Second, I read a letter to the editor in a small local newspaper (the Acorn). This lady spewed out all the silly rhetoric which basically stated, if you are for Prop 8, you are anti-gay, you hate gays, and you live in the stone age.

Leftists, Democrat's, Secular Progressives, Socialists, Communists, whatever you want to call them. Their political and social belief system is their religion. That is why they can deny the truth, because they don't believe in what conservatives advocate. It's the equivalent of a Satan worshiper telling a Christian that Jesus didn't exist. It just does not compute. Not only does it not compute, but they have complete contempt for anyone who disagrees with their point of view. And these are supposed to be the people of tolerance and diversity. Oh, they are totally tolerant, as long as you fall in line with their way of thinking. If you don't, you are an infidel, that must be destroyed. Are they really tolerant?

They are so quick to call a conservative a hypocrite, when one falls into moral transgression. Do you see any hypocrisy on their part, when it comes to tolerance? Why was my "Yes On 8" yard sign stolen from my front lawn? Why do they want to shout down anyone who wants to express a differing opinion? Why the hatred of Sarah Palin. Tolerant? I think not. Hmmmm, where else have we seen people not being allowed to think for themselves? Where have we seen attempts to cut religion out of the moral fabric of society? Where else have we seen the government say "let us take care of you?" Hmm, let me think.

We are all aware of the spokespeople for the conservative right. For the most part, their theme is to rant about how loony the left is, how inadequate the Democrats in the Senate are, and, well you know how contentious the Presidential campaign is.

In the middle of all of this is a calm and relatively quiet gentleman named Dennis Prager. Dennis has a smooth calm about him. He hosts a syndicated radio show, and he is refreshingly positive and respectful to callers and guests he has on his show. I get the feeling that the difference between Dennis Prager, and the other personalities in his field, is that Dennis is very real. I don't get the feeling that he is putting on a show. He just seems to be a thoughtful person, and he gives others the respect that I'm sure he expects to receive. I think the key ingredient that Dennis has in his personal mix, is a love for people. That shows through, in the way he talks, and the way he responds to both people who agree, and people who disagree with him. Thanks Dennis, you are a class act.

Hope I Can Believe In

OK, I know, I'm just as tired about hearing about hope as you are. But my hope is a little different. My hope isn't some nebulous, undefined, intangible buzzword, that gets all the left wing wacko's excited beyond control. My hope is real. It is the hope that McCain still has a chance. I know we are only two weeks away, and nObama (no that isn't a typo) is leading in all the poles. Call me crazy. I still have hope. I pray every night, that this nation will not fall in the hands of those who don't love our Father in Heaven. I worry for all of us, if that does happen. Let's all take in a deep breath, take a good look at the two weeks we have ahead of us, and sprint toward the finish. We can't give up. Continue to open your mouth. Stand up for what you believe in. Random Scene On SNL

Wow! The opening scene on Saturday Night Live was probably the most random ever. It started with the SNL cast member that plays Sarah Palin, then it cuts over to the Real Sarah Palin talking to, what's his name, the guy that runs SNL. Then Mark Wahlberg interrupts them, doesn't even acknowledge Sarah, and then walks off again, then Alec Baldwin shows up and ends up walking off, arm in arm, with Sarah. Then the Real Sarah ends the skit with the the famous "live from New York, it's Saturday night," announcement.

It was actually kind of nice to see people with very different political views, getting over themselves, and having some fun. Wouldn't it be nice, if we could all do a little more of that. My feeling is that there is extreme hatred on the left, and that probably isn't going to just go away. Why is it that way? Do you ever see conservatives showing up at a liberal meeting to disrupt the whole thing by screaming, and yelling, some protest? I think, we on the right, are just as passionate about our views as the left, but we don't get in their face about it.

Making Good Choices

It seems like a simple thing, if you want to be successful in life, if you want to do what is right, if you want to be a good example, if you want people to think of you as someone with integrity, then make good choices.

By “good choices,” I mean choose the good, or choose the right. One might think that a crafty business deal, that is to the detriment of others, is a good choice, and from a purely business perspective it would seem that it is. But is it? If you take into consideration, long-range planning, and a business term called “good will,” you can see that even in something as unemotional as business, choosing the right is always the best thing to do.

We all face many choices each day. Some of the choices we make may seem small and trivial, while others can have long-term effects on our lives, and others. If we make it a point each day, to recommit ourselves to choose the right, we can consciously make decisions that are good, and in so doing, we are helping our Father in Heaven build his kingdom here on earth.

Due to our recent surge in gas prices, I was making it a point to stay within the speed limit. I was doing this to try and decrease my gas consumption. As I was doing this, I realized that I never worried when I saw the highway patrol. One big blessing that comes from making good choices is the fact that you never have to worry about anyone finding out.

Let us hold back when we are angry. Let us not take advantage when we have the opportunity to do so. Let us make sacrifices for others. Let us love one another. Let us be honest in our dealings with our fellow men and women. Let us all make good choices.

If you believe the news media and the poles, you would think Obama is going to be our next President. I'm not so sure. I think we will see an uprising from the "silent majority" like we have never seen before. There is too much at stake, and I think a lot of people will show up at the poles, who wouldn't otherwise go.

When you stop and think about the agenda of a very liberal President, backed by a liberal congress, it gets very scary. We will see an attack on traditional marriage, unborn children's right to life, and the right to worship freely, on a scale never before seen in this country.

This guy scares me. There are so many things people are willing to overlook because he is such an accomplished public speaker. Don't be fooled by the slick presentation. This guy is so far on the left, I bet he would love to see us all goose stepping to a big mural of him in Obama square. Did you know that he wants to compel Americans to perform 150 hours of community service, per year?

I knew it. I was right. Unfortunately, being right, in this case is a bad thing. I never bought the "buyout." Hello! This is supposed to be a free market economy. The market will do the right thing every time, if it is allowed to do so. The government needs to just get out of the way. And who put Barnie Franks in charge? Just look at him. He's a buffoon. How did that guy get elected?

OK, I'm done ranting. I just have one more thing to say. Don't believe Barak (failed policies) Obama when he says deregulation caused this financial mess. He's doing the usual blame game. The fact is, this is all caused by pressure from the liberal establishment, on loan institutions, to fund loans to people who, under normal prudent lending practices, would not qualify. End of story.

Prop 8 must pass

I live in California, the golden state. This place would be paradise if we didn't have so many libs here. We have to pass prop 8. My time is short today, so I can't go into detail, but I would like to ask one question to those who may oppose prop 8, or those who are undecided.

Do you believe in religious freedom? If you don't, you're a lost cause, but if you do, really look into this proposition. The bottom line is that it will take away the freedom of religious people with conservative values. This isn't about being anti gay. It is about preserving the belief that marriage is ordained by God, and is defined as being between a man and a woman.
